He nailed it

A 39-year-old man with a 4.6-centimeter-long nail stuck mysteriously lodged in the left side of his forehead is alive and well, though complaining of a pain in his chest, not his head. Song Zhaocheng from Fangyin, a village in Henan Province, was working at a construction site as a plumber in mid-April when he was returning at night to his quarters after a card game, stumbled and fell into a large deep hole.

Song was knocked unconscious and woke up several hours later with headache. After he was pulled from the hole by colleagues who heard his cries for help he was taken to a hospital where CT exams and X-rays revealed a broken rib and the nail inexplicably driven into his noggin. Doctors said they were reluctant to remove it for fear of brain damage, and Song said the wounded area was merely numb, with no pain or itching.
